Drawing with words
I want to share with you my creative world of drawing with words rather than lines.
I believe that words are powerful. Some people use them as weapons to hurt others. I want to use words to encourage, inspire and express kindness. That is my goal.
I draw pictures of famous icons. Many drawings are of iconic people. I also draw iconic buildings, statues and objects.
My drawings are unique because I draw by writing the words and phrases that are meaningful to the subject I’m drawing. When drawing people, I incorporate the names, places and things that are important to that person. This may include family, friends, achievements, special events, favorite places, activities and passions. I use these meaningful words to draw the likeness.
The drawings available on this site are very limited editions. For most portraits, only 9 will ever be sold. See each drawing for more details.

Commissions are gladly accepted. Everyone is a special icon to the loved ones in their life. It takes considerable time to gather the information and create the likeness of someone. For this reason, I accept only a small number of projects at any given time. Please contact me to discuss a commissioned portrait.
